Glutamine
Glutamine is a nonessential amino acid which means our body can make it. Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the body. Glutamine helps with protein synthesis and muscle growth. It is used in peptic ulcers because of its ability to provide energy for the cells in the lining of our gastrointestinal tract. Glutamine helps block cortisol from breaking down protein, this is important in people with HIV, cancer.
