In the news recently has been a product by Natrol called Carb intercept, which contains,Phase 2. This trademark ingredient is extracted from white kidney bean, its function is a carbohydrate blocker, technically speaking an amylase inhibitor. Amylase inhibitors are starch blockers, which will prevent the body from absorbing starches and thereby eliminating them from the body. This decreased absorption of starches may assist in weight loss. Now the product from Natrol which is in a recent article is not the only product that has either Phase 2 or Phaseolamin in it, the list is as follows: NF-712: Now Foods Phase 2 starch neutralizer 500 mg.
IR-004: Irwin Naturals Max. Stength Phase 2 carb blocker
AB-006: Absolute Nutrition Dynamic Duo, they use white kidney bean extract and a fat blocker.
UU-029: Universal Nutrition Doctor's Diet Carb block, this product contains Phaseolinfx is another white kidney bean extract, this is a trademarked ingredient, it is comparable to phase 2
