Side effects with stomach medications

Are you experiencing side effects from your stomach medications? First, what are some names of stomach medications? Let's start with H2 Receptor Blockers such as: Tagamet(Cimetidine), Pepcid(Famotidine), Axid(Nizatadine), Zantac(Ranitidine), then there are the more expensive bunch called Proton Pump Inhibitors such as: Aciphex(Rabeprazole), Protonix(Pantoprazole), Prevacid(Lansoprazole), Prilosec(Omeprazole), Nexium(Esomeprazole). The H2 Blockers cause drug induced nutrient depletions:
Vitamin B12 depletion can cause: Anemia, tiredness, weakness, increased cardiovascular disease risk.
Folic Acid depletion can cause: Birth defects, cervical dysplasia(abnormal growth), anemia, cardiovascular risk.
Vitamin D depletion can cause: Osteoporosis, muscle weakness, hearing loss.
Calcium depletion can cause: Osteoporosis, heart/blood pressure irregularities, tooth decay.
Iron depletion can cause: Anemia, weakness, fatigue, hair loss, brittle nails.
Zinc depletion can cause: Slow wound healing, loss of sense of smell and taste, lower immunity.

The Proton pump inhibitors cause drug induced Vitamin B12 depletion, which can cause the potential problems stated above. There are some natural therapies to treat Ulcers, heartburn/indigestion: Licorice(DGL), Mastic, Glutamine, Vitamin C, Vitamin B6, Vitamin E, Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bromelain, Ginger, Peppermint, Chamomile, Cayenne, Artichoke.

Check with your Pharmacist/Doctor before taking any supplements for warnings, contraindications and drug interactions
